Fashion week is upon us yet again, but its hard to think outside of New York for fashion week here in the United States. In all actuality fashion week began in Milan, Italy by the Nazionale della Moda Italiana (the National Chamber of Italian Fashion), which was founded in 1958, where the Association has pursued a policy of organizational support aimed at the knowledge, promotion and development of Fashion through events with a highly intellectual image in Italy and abroad. This is a far cry from the 7th on Sixth organization that began Olympus fashion week in New York in 1993.
