HIGH-END couture is in vogue with brides, with vivid colours joining traditional white and ivory in the style stakes. Unique designs are trumping off-the-rack dresses, with more women favouring figure-hugging gowns over flouncy.
Australian Bridal Service managing director Glenn Findlay said the bride of today was most likely to be a cashed-up 29-year-old with firm ideas. "She's a much more mature bride. They move more towards high-end couture - a gown that would be worn to the Logies or Oscars," he said.
