N-E/Rebecca Johns Seamstress Betty Henderson, left, works on a special patriotic wedding dress, commissioned through Laurene's Bridal and Formals in Elizabethtown.
When Ron Lax and Gibson began planning their wedding, Lax told Ellen Hack of Laurene's Bridal and Formals, and seamstress Betty Henderson that he'd always dreamed of having his bride wear a patriotic dress.
Gibson said the task was time consuming and Lax did most of the work to paint the nearly 1,000 stars red and blue.
