This month’s Vogue has almost as many fragrance ads as it does clothing and accessory brands on display. The only difference is that these ads are often not filled with beautiful people. It’s really about the bottle and the mood that the scent attempts to recreate. Maybe it’s the fantasy that the right scent can transport you away from the everyday or the right fragrance can somehow transform you. There is a study that one scent in particular makes you appear thinner, but that’s not yet on the market.
