I kicked off my Fashion Week in Harlem on Fifth Avenue, where Essence Magazine's Black Style Now Gala was taking place at the Museum of the City of New York. This event, hosted by Diddy, told the story of Hip-Hop Fashion through the past 20 years. The museum exhibited legendary hip-hop accessories -- from the The Kangol, made famous by LL Cool J in the 1980s, to the blinged-out Kimora Lee Simmons Hello Kitty pendant.
