"I think I'm sort of tripolar," Isaac Mizrahi said within the first five minutes of our meeting at his new office, TV studio and design studio in New York.
With anyone else, that statement might seem like a cry for help. But Mizrahi makes airing his neuroses part of his public persona.

Scarlett and Louis For Spring
Vuitton Spring 2007 campaign starring Scarlett Johansson are out and we love them. They are so retro and fun. LV said it was going for an 18th century fêtes galantes look and that she's on a swing. But we're not really feeling a Fragonard The Swing vibe here. Instead, we expect Fred Astaire to tap dance out on board the yacht at any moment. Then, Scarlett can purse those lips and dance around the deck with him. Ok, so we love old musicals and have seen every one like a million times. So sue us. But we see 30's here, not 1700's with "a dash of street style."

Metal mesh at bridal bonanza
The metallic sheen of gold and silver and the brilliant sparkle of crystals. If the big fat Indian wedding is about all this and much more, so is the country’s biggest annual exhibition of wedding finery — Bridal Asia.
Back after a one-and-a-half year gap, the wedding extravaganza to be hosted by Delhi in January, will wear an opulent look, the decor done up in matte gold, silver and crystals.

Playboy to Open First European Concept Boutique in London
Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (PEI) announced today that it will open a freestanding Playboy Concept Boutique on London's popular Oxford Street, next spring. Reflecting the global fashion-lifestyle brand's retail strategy to launch at least three stores per year over the next few years, Playboy's upscale shopping destination will be owned and operated under license by Global Designer Brands (GDB).
"Historically, Playboy has had a longstanding relationship with London, one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world. Playboy's growing retail success at London's preeminent retailers has demonstrated consumer demand to expand confidently to a freestanding Playboy Concept Boutique in this desirable market," said Christie Hefner, chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Inc. "Given Oxford Street's reputation for offering the latest fashions to discerning London shoppers, we believe that the freestanding Playboy store, while complementing our third-party distribution, will create additional interest and enthusiasm for our wide range of products."

3 Trends for Spring
Anonymous accessories - This year’s best bags, sunglasses, and baubles don’t need to flaunt their logos. Quality is apparent without a designer’s name splashed across your body. To paraphrase Coco Chanel, true elegance is the silk lining of a coat. Only you need know its worth.

Salwaar kameez a fashion statement, courtesy Pakistan designers
Salwaar kameez as a fashion statement? Not many Indian designers would dabble with the idea but their Pakistani counterparts have experimented with this conventional dress, giving it a class without losing on its ethnicity.
"Pakistani women are extremely fashion conscious but they still prefer eastern wear, the age-old Salwaar Kameez. I have re-introduced this dress as something 'fashionable', giving it an altogether different look from being an ordinary wear," says Zara Shehzahaan, a Pakistani designer.

Red Carpet Trend – Electric blue gowns
Electric blue isn't just showing up on the High Street, it's also turning heads on the red carpet! Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet both turned up in the fabulous hue to the 18th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival a week ago; and given that they're both Golden Globe nominees - for 'Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role' (Notes on a Scandal) and 'Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama' (Little Children), respectively - I wonder if the rest of Hollywood will follow suit!
