When the Stash Attacks: Creative Techniques for Concealing Your Yarns
Nothing says, "There's no yarn in here" like a non-functioning appliance. Have a dead dishwasher, stove, or refrigerator you can't bear to part with? (Heck, even a non-functioning car will do.) Pack your yarn well, so that any lingering odors from the appliance don't permeate your precious fibers, and stuff away.

Thoughts on color
I agree with the possible gender connections being made and with the ideathat if you like and wear some colours well you are more likely to workwith them well. Knitting is now the in thing while pubbing
