Slim Suits: The Attraction Is Physical
WONDROUS planetary alignments may excite astronomers, but not the average Joe, who just wants to see a nice comet. The same is true in the slow-moving world of men’s wear. But a harmonic convergence in tropical-weight wool is taking place even as we speak, and men should listen up, because it will probably affect their lives a lot more than Mercury going into retrograde ever will.

Topman, the UK's leading men's fashion retailers, offers a range of skinny jeans and slim-fit jeans for men online - a staple of 2007's summer wardrobe.

    Men now wear pink too
It’s official. Now, even men are willing to think pink. And that too with a vengeance! The male species is finally opening up to and accepting with open sleeves, err arms the ‘girly’ colour. It’s taken its time to seep into the male mindset, but now that it’s all there, pink is fast becoming the new black for men.

    Clothing Storage Tips
Seasons change, and with them, so do our clothes. As winter gives way to spring, our sweaters and wool pants give way to polos and khakis. And what do we do with our winter-weight clothes until fall rolls back around? Some of us may leave them hanging around the closet or crammed in a drawer somewhere. Some of us may even store them away -- which you should be doing -- but chances are we’re not storing them away properly. Clothes are an expensive, important investment that can last for years, as long as you’re taking proper care of them. And part of proper care is proper storage in the “off-season.” So, to help make those expensive sweaters and linen shirts last longer, remember these three simple rules for storing your clothes: clean, protect, organize.

Beachwear Out, Formal in for Summer 2008
Judging by the collections debuting over the weekend during men's fashion week, the summer 2008 look is short of beachwear and long on formal attire, with a dash of the militaristic.

Setting the cerebral tone Saturday evening was Versace, where nothing was quite what it seemed.

The first model down the runway wore a gray trench coat that unbuttons to transform into a jacket. Jackets become waistcoats. The jackets were paired with either the traditional Versace tight trouser or a roomier pleated trouser that - when put together with a muscle-showing mesh T-shirt, seemed to be the combination best adapted for the beach or pool side.

Beauty queen blackmailed into handing over crown
A SCANDAL has erupted over the Miss New Jersey beauty pageant with police investigating whether jealous rivals are behind a plot to blackmail winner Amy Polumbo into handing over her crown.

Detectives yesterday began investigating the five runners-up, including first runner-up Ronica Licciardello.

"I'm presently the victim of blackmail and possible extortion," Polumbo, 22, said. Her lawyer Anthony Caruso said the State Attorney General's Office was involved in the investigation.

The bombshell exploded last week when Polumbo announced a cyber-fiend had got hold of compromising photos from her Facebook web page and doctored them with nasty captions.

10 for men: The must-have items for every man
From a woman's point of view, it's so easy for a man to look good that we can't figure out why so many of you just don't bother.

All it takes is a few decent pieces of clothing, a tailor you can trust and a little action with a nailbrush, and you're ready to go.

    Mens fall fashion forecast
British men have the cutest accents-so why not dress like one too, guys? Just kidding, but Lutter Cole names a Chesterfield coat, glen plaid and the pocket square as tenets of classic English style. The Charles Bailey Chesterfield coat they'll be carrying is a fitted, three-quarters car coat complete with a velvet collar. Or get decked out in a glen plaid sport coat or trousers from Hugo Boss, which will last for seasons to come. Add a little flash with a pocket square, which, according to Lutter Cole, is "the new necktie."

Mens fashion trend takes a feminine turn
Menswear, which has been on a dressier road in recent seasons, appears to be merging onto a new road next spring.

    And the view ain't pretty.

Actually, the problem is, much of it is pretty.

Carlos Campos provided the first and most vivid glimpse of the trend during the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week when he sent out a collection featuring abbreviated and fitted shorts, scoop-neck sweaters in canary and turquoise, skinny pants in white and lilac, sweaters and jackets in feminine shades of purple, short Riviera scarves tied snugly about the neck and suits that appeared two sizes too small.

    Spring styles shorter for guys
Nautica launched New York Fashion Week yesterday with a potential debate: Will hemlines be a relevant issue to men in the spring?

Many of the crisp twill pants were worn just above the ankle, and the shorts hit midthigh -- shorter than Bermudas but longer than athletic shorts.

    5 Color Coordination Rules
Does this tie match? What color shirt goes with these pants? These confusing, colorful questions burden every man, everywhere.

Gentlemen, to truly master the art of dressing, we must become learned individuals on the basics of color coordination. And learning to combine colors isn’t as difficult as you might think. A complete understanding of color and the color wheel is a time-consuming lesson, but thankfully an easier, more basic way for coordinating colors exists. While numerous, more complex rules are out there, here are five easy-to-use rules for color coordination.

Six reasons why men still lech in the office
An unexpected invitation to dinner. A compliment that goes uncomfortably beyond “you look nice”. A wink. A leer. A grope. For decades, such acts have been the classic calling cards of the now fading institution, the office lech.

At least, I assumed the office lech was a fading institution, until I wrote something about networking and received a message from a reader suggesting that women were disadvantaged at business events because they were forever being leered at (“I can’t tell you the number of times people assumed that, because I had been friendly, it was OK to ask me out on a date”). I discussed the subject with female acquaintances and was informed that lechery remains rampant.

You are So Money: Falls Big Fashion Trends
Michael Macko, men's fashion director of Saks Fifth Avenue, is rarely shocked by what comes down the runway during fashion shows.

"Menswear," he explains, "is so slow to change. [It's] very conservative."

    Turn heads with cufflinks
WHEN women think of accessories for a night out or attending a little soiree, they think of a new handbag and awesome shoes. And that’s just for starters. But for a guy, their options can seem quite limited. A tie, a watch, cufflinks, shoes. However, these items can turn heads as well!

    2008 Winter Overcoats
The winter overcoat is overlooked as a necessary element of a gentleman’s wardrobe. Perhaps our modern existence in climate-controlled environments or the casual approach to fashion is to blame, but one really should invest in an overcoat for reasons beyond fashion. Yes, you can throw a ski parka over a suit in a pinch, but the ski jacket is not made to cover your suit and will wrinkle the fabric and twist the construction of the shoulders. So, it’s time to wise up: Buy an overcoat and walk in to any suit-sporting event with confidence and style.

    Looking like a million yuks
For every stellar men's wear collection of 2007 such as Ermenegildo Zegna and BOSS Black, there were numerous labels that stumbled badly. Amid the two-button suits and sleek cashmere overcoats came jackets covered in fabric flowers, formal capes and hot pants for the office. Here's our list of the most ridiculous men's fashion suggestions for 2007.

Men's Fashion 101: Finding your own style

    Style essentials for men
Most men don’t take fashion seriously, as most women do. Fashion is tricky, but style isn’t. Fashion changes, but style is a personality. You don’t have to be edgy or be a metrosexual to have style. You don’t even have to know fashion. All it takes is a little assessment of your clothing needs and evaluation of what you want to project. There are very basic things to consider when dressing up. To be, at the very least, not a disaster, here are ten things men should know about styling himself.
